HungerCreated during "World Outreach Week" at school, I had been surrounded by images. Instructed to create a piece representing hunger, I tried to think of something unconventional. After looking at many images, I thought of eyes. Specifically the hungry eyes of a child. In my image acrylic paint, charcoal, and pastel form one oddly-colored and blood-shot eye. In the lower right-hand corner is a reflection of two hands holding an empty bowl. One of the hands has six fingers- representing Eastern Europe and the radioactive damage that has been caused by nuclear leaks over the years. This eye is one of hurt and pain reflecting and begging for compassion, help, and physical aid. Price: $50.00 |
